Who is this training for?
Our training is designed for school trustees and entire school boards. It is tailored both newly elected trustees who need a foundation in governance, and returning boards looking to strengthen how they work together. Sessions are delivered to the full board as a group.
What topics are covered in the training?
We tailor the course to you and can offer training in pretty much any governance topic out there. Our most common training areas are: the role of the board, fiduciary duties, governance vs. politics, financial oversight, board and management boundaries, board culture and meeting effectiveness, and policy and strategic planning
How long is the training, and how is it delivered?
Our trainings are completely customizable and we have conduced workshop sessions in as little as 90 minutes and with some boards, over several days. Trainings can take place in-person, online, or any combination of the two. We work within your board’s capabilities and resources.
